HTC is one of the best known mobile phone companies. It has made its place because of its highly desirable phones. Here we are going to discuss about its HTC Snap and HTC Tattoo. The former one is a non-touchscreen handset but comes equipped with full QWERTY keyboard while the latter one is a touchscreen device devised with stunning features.
Similarities & Dissimilarities:-
HTC Snap
(i) The bar shaped casing of HTC Snap has 116.5 x 61.5 x 12 mm dimensions and weighs 120 grams whereas HTC Tattoo’ casing measurements are 106 x 55.2 x 14 mm and overall weight is 113 grams.
(ii) The former one features 2.4 inches TFT LCD screen with LED Back Light that shows 65K colors at 320 x 240 Pixels resolution. There is a QWERTY keyboard & Trackball navigation as well. While the latter one sports 2.8 inches TFT LCD touchscreen display with Sense UI & Accelerometer sensor to auto-rotate the screen. It is capable of viewing 65K colors at 240 x 320 Pixels resolution.
(iii) The Snap is windows mobile phone and having a Pocket Office software that allows maintaining documents in many formats but Tattoo’s operating system is Android OS, v1.6 OS and it has ignored Pocket Office feature.
(iv) Both of these are compatible for data sharing and connectivity to other devices due to inclusion of 3G HSDPA, HSUPA, WLAN Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth & USB technologies.
(v) The former device allows web access through WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML (PocketIE) browsing options and its camera is 2 megapixel. While on latter one you will get HTML browser for Internet access and 3.15 megapixel camera.
(vi) The audio & video player of HTC Snap supports MP3, WMA, MIDI, WAV, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, AMR, QCP & AWB music and WMV, ASF, MP4, 3GP, AVI, 3G2 & M4V video files. Whereas MP3, WMA, WAV & eAAC+ music and MPEG4, H263, H264 & Windows Media® 9 are playable on HTC Tattoo.
(vii) GPS feature with A-GPS support works commonly in both of the siblings but in former device Google Maps is supporting it while latter one gets assistance through Digital compass.
HTC Tattoo
The internal 192MB RAM, 256MB ROM of the first one can be upgraded up to 16GB. And the latter one integrates 256 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM and here also users can enhance memory through card slot.
The HTC Tattoo mobile phone is available on network : HTC Tattoo O2.
